Donate Today

As an IRS recognized 501c(3) (EIN# 82-2838670) donations are the heart of our operations. Our programming and mission would be impossible without you, our beloved donors. So, foremost we want to thank everyone who has donated in the past, will donate today, or will encourage others to donate. YOU make this possible!

Click above to make a cash donation of your chosen amount. Qualifying donations may be recognized by the IRS as tax exempt and may be deducted. Please include all of your personal information when you complete your donation so that we may provide you the appropriate paperwork to deduct your donation at tax time. For cash donations exceeding $49 please indicate if you would like to join our MEMBERSHIP.

Or, CONTACT US to donate an unused vehicle, real estate, or other real property, and get a great write off for a good cause! *Real property donations must in good condition. Jackalope Acres reserves the right to refuse any real property donation.

We are also always on the lookout for donations of equine supplies to directly support our programming. We are always in need of feed and fuel. A few larger items we are currently seeking in Alaska include: horse or livestock trailer(s), ATV's, a snowblower, a 4WD plow truck, snow machines, 6' rough stock paneling, and corral shelters.

For our corporate donors looking we have fabulous incentives for in kind and cash donations. Corporate donors should CONTACT US for details on our corporate donation levels and sponsorship opportunities.

Volunteering & Internships

At Jackalope Acres we believe that no community burns brighter than when it works together for a great cause. Join Jackalope Acres for a weekend event or even intern for a summer. We would love to have you!

Currently Jackalope Acres has the following volunteer opportunities available for the 2021/2022 season:

  • Spend time with the mustangs in 2021! Jackalope acres has several spaces remaining for internships in 2021 at our facility in Philomath, Oregon. Internships require a minimum of a 30 day commitment and may include room (not board) as available. Interns will need to be prepared to provide their own board and transportation (and potentially room as space is limited). Interns will gain invaluable hands on experience selecting and gentling mustangs directly from holding in exchange for mornings spent on general barn work. Interns can be from anywhere in the world, must be at least 18 years of age, and must be fluent in the English language for instruction. Internships are offered at no cost and can exceed 30 days for more intensive learning outcomes. Please CONTACT us to discuss the available positions if you are interested.

  • Help with our makeover event at the Alaska State Fair starting in 2021. Volunteers are needed for set up, event management, and clean up. This event is tentative due to COVID-19 and will most likely be virtual if we are able to proceed as planned.

  • Are you located in the lower 48 and do you have a trailer suitable for untouched mustangs? We want to hear from you! Jackalope Acres receives calls throughout the year for mustangs in need of rescue. We also assist during emergencies, such as the 2020 west coast wildfires, when horse or livestock are in distress. If you are available to haul a mustang, horse, or other livestock with your equipment to Jackalope Acres we often need extra help just getting an animal to the safety of our barns. Fuel and expenses may be tax deductible too! Reach out with your contact info! We would love to meet you!

  • There are currently no volunteer opportunities with our offices in Homer, Alaska but we welcome our Alaskan friends to visit our Oregon facility or participate in the event at the Alaska State Fair.

  • Interested in helping in other ways? We are always looking for extra hands. CONTACT  us to chat!

Other opportunities are added regularly. Bookmark this page and check back regularly for new and exciting ways to get involved!
